70th SCOUTS HQ CONSTRUCTION AND OPENING CEREMONY

SATURDAY 19th APRIL 1969

 

​This was the day of the opening ceremony and dedication of the new headquarters. After J. Swan's inspection, A. Aitkenhead broke the flag. J. Swan then cut the ribbon and officially opened the HQ. The guests took their places and the speeches commenced. Mr. Waddell acted as chairman. Two THANKS badge, one to Mr. Malcolm and one to Mr. Cram for their help with the Hall. After the National Anthem, the guests were shown round the hall and the Scouts were given lem. and crisps outside.
