Report verbatim from the Troop Log

Tonight is the Halloween party, so there was no flag break, etc. First, came the judging of the costumes won by Tony.  Next*, out of costumes and outside for the brilliant display of fireworks by the PLs, which had a few accidents.

Back in for some games, for which Kenny got the ideas off the Guides. First, was the floury sweet game (a failure), then the apple dooking which was alright.

PLs then vanished to the room**. When the PLs came back, it was with ice cream and jelly, which was speedily devoured by the Scouts. At this time, the PLs and other people going to the disco left. The remaining PLs then departed to the room, and the next time we can back it was with crisps and Irn Bru, which soon disappeared. Then, after some announcements, most people left, and the PLs and APLs did the tidying up.

It was after the tidying up that Stuart Dalrymple was told of his appointment as a patrol leader.

Additional Notes (not in the log book)

*One of the slides taken this evening suggests that there was a walk around the block in fancy dress.

**The ‘room’ is likely to be the patrol leaders room
